Caste Based Reservation

The government made it clear that the recommended reservation will be implemented irrespective of the views of the people of this country since they the elected members have agreed to, passed a legislature to that effect!!! The government also says, the private companies would be forced to implement reservations by law if they do not agree to.Many democratic western countries, for decisions including a small one like moving market from one place to another, take a vote from its citizens and act according to the result of such a vote.We pride ourselves to be the worlds biggest democratic country but the people’s view is not considered at all. Is this democracy? Has democracy died in India? Are we a democratic country? Do we have democracy in India?

Recently I watched some program in TV9 about the reservations from that i felt caste based reservation is dividing the society
